All premises in Redditch will need at least one Personal Licence holder, one of whom will be named on the premises licence as the Designated Premises Supervisor.
The DPS is the person who is in day to day control of the licensed premises. The DPS is the point of contact for responsible authorities within the local council.
A Personal Licence holder must:
- Be aged 18 or over
- Not have forfeited a personal licence within 5 years prior to making an application
- Not have been convicted of any relevant or foreign offence
- Possess an accredited licensing qualification (or equivalent)
Personal Licences no longer expire after changes made to legislation in 2015. If your Personal Licence appears to have expired then this is not the case, it’s just that your Personal Licence was issued before the changes came into force.
If your Personal Licence is lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed, you can apply to your local licensing authority for a copy of your licence. The current fee for a replacement licence is £10.50.
The police will no longer issue a crime reference number for the loss or theft of a Personal Licence.
