The Licensing Act 2003 specifies that every supply of alcohol made under a premises licence must be made or authorised by a personal licence holder. Every premises involved in the sale or supply of alcohol must have one nominated Designated Premises Supervisor (DPS), who must hold a personal licence. There can only ever be one DPS per premises but the law does provide that a personal licence holder can be the DPS of more than one premises.

I teach at all types of premises every year. Quite simply, I come to your premises and deliver the one-day Highfield personal licence course. At the end of the course, candidates will sit a 40 question examination paper. Successful candidates will need to score at least 28 correct questions to pass.

Also, during the course, we will complete the application forms in readiness for your formal personal licence application to the authority where you live. Remember, I come to your premises, on day to suit you. No need to travel distances and spend the day with a room full of strangers. I can arrange a course just for your premises.
