I deliver the Highfield one-day personal licence course. At the end of the day’s training, you will sit a 40 question exam. Those who score 28 or more, will receive a certificate to confirm that you have studied and passed this Level 2 course. The Highfield certificate is recognised by all licensing authorities throughout England and Wales, as well as the UK Government. This is the certificate that will enable you to gain a personal licence from your local licensing authority.

On the day of the course, we will cover the complete syllabus and this will prepare you for the exam. I have a 99% exam pass rate withal candidates that attend my training day. You will be in safe hands and benefit from my 20 years’ of teaching law.

If you are starting out in the licenced trade, welcome! If you are operating your own business selling alcohol, then you will become the Designated Premises Supervisor (DPS). This is the one individual who has day-to-day control of the premises. The only qualification you need to become the DPS is a personal licence.

During the packed training day, you will learn about the key laws concerning the sale of alcohol, premises licences, operating schedules, conditions, children at premises, regulated entertainment, late night refreshment and many other topics that will keep you on the right side of the law. If you get things wrong at your premises, the penalties can be very serious indeed and impact on your cashflow.
